Job Title = Field Services Engineer

Location = Middlesex

Salary = £ 33000.00 to £ 35000.00 per annum

Looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer with strong electromechanical installation Service and maintenance background of packaging type machinery must have experience of PLC Control Systems
 
Based at: From Home -location to be within 50-mile circumference of Uxbridge, however we will consider other locations for a very good candidate
 
Job Purpose:
 
To provide professional service and support for customers by performing field service installation, start up, repairs and maintenance of all company equipment
 
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
 
Engineering duties including installation, commissioning and breakdowns on the company range of Vertical and Horizontal Flow Wrapping equipment as well as ancillary equipment
Promote the company's after-market activities to give an added value
Build positive relationships with customers
Provide engineering and technical support to external customers by telephone
Provide out of hours support for the 24/7 telephone support line
Deliver training to our customers on the safe use of our equipment
Accurate completion of service report sheets daily
Complete mechanical and electrical refurbishment and repairs to older machines both in
our workshop and at customer sites
To establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues to ensure a 'one team approach'.
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
 
Key Skills:
 
 
Proven field service experience preferred
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
Electrical / electronics – sound servo drive / plc experience
Qualified Apprentice Engineering technician or HND in electrical (preferred) or mechanical
Computer literate
A pro-active “can do” approach to work and its challenges is key in this very important role
Able to work well under pressure and most importantly to always show a respect for customer care
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to team building
Attractive salary (up to £36,000) and benefits including company car, 25 days holiday, laptop and
mobile phone.
This role involves time away from home and weekend work. We request all new engineers to make themselves available two weekend per month to carry out planned or emergency work if required.
Overtime paid for all hours except 1 hour each day that is deemed commute time
Overtime rate is 1.5 for weekdays and Saturdays and double time for Sundays
